Managed Services Senior Solutions Engineer / Architect Responsibilities:

• Designs, implements, and supports services for Microsoft related technologies: Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
• Plans, engineers, designs, and implements network infrastructure and system solutions from the ground up to meet customer needs
• Handles server installations, firewall configurations, cloud migrations, disaster recovery solutions
• High level network service and support: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
• Provides remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, RDS, and Citrix
• Creates SOPs, system documentation, and assists with project quote requirements for clients and prospects provides consulting services including system reviews and recommendations
• Serves as technical leader providing training, mentorship, and coaching to technical support and project engineering teams as needed
• Regularly interfaces with customers, including executive level leadership, providing technical guidance and consulting services (system reviews and recommendations), as well as communicating updates on incident progress, and notification of impending changes or agreed outages
• Improves customer service, perception, and satisfaction
• Serves as senior escalations point for team and overall organization, providing IT support related to complex technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware
• Possesses strong business awareness including specific knowledge of customers and how IT relates to their business strategies and goals
• Discovers opportunities for enhancing client’s environment
• Develops in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customer’s needs
• Reviews IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry

Managed Services Senior Solutions Engineer / Architect Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in computer science or other technology related field from four-year college or university preferred
• Experience within IT services industry (IT managed service provider or IT consulting firm) required
• Professional IT Certifications, such as: CCNA, CISSP, advanced level Microsoft certs, etc.
• Mastery of Microsoft and Azure stack of products required
• Mastery with various systems/network brands/products/applications: Fortinet, Ubiquity, Aruba, Windows Server, Azure, VMware, Cisco, Microsoft Teams calling, Sharepoint, VOIP, etc.
• Proven experience configuring routers and switches from the ground up
• Advanced diagnosis skills of technical issues
• Customer-focused and service driven, with solid understanding of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
