SALARY:

  • Management Analyst II: $48,144 per year; $4,012 per month (SR-18; BU:13)
  • Management Analyst III: $52,044 per year; $4,337 per month (SR-20; BU:13)
  • Management Analyst IV: $56,304 per year; $4,692 per month (SR-22; BU:13)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position will work directly with construction project management and facility operations. The primary duties of this position will be to assist with the recording of construction payments, maintaining project budgets, creating finance reports, and updating project timelines. Applicants should be able to create and maintain financial spreadsheets in Excel, record information in an organized manner, and generate meeting agendas, meeting minutes and project documentation as assigned.

The ideal person for this position has the ability to work independently with a high degree of motivation, flexibility, and critical thinking. The successful analyst will demonstrate ownership of assigned projects and will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure that assigned projects and tasks are completed on time. The Management Analyst will also conduct research, provide opinion and analysis, and produce both verbal and written reports and/or presentations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A Day in the Life of a Management Analyst (Project Management Office): As a Management Analyst in the Project Management Office you will work in a dedicated office with two to three other project managers responsible for construction efforts throughout HHSC - East Hawaii Region’s hospitals and clinics. The Management Analyst processes incoming invoices, updates project spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, fills out forms required by the state, and prepares project documentation in Microsoft Word. The Management Analyst will also participate in construction meetings and assist project managers in coordinating work on different job sites.

Abilities Required:

  • Attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Process invoices and payments
  • Manage invoices and financial reports from multiple construction projects
  • Update and maintain documented project schedule

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience:

  • General Experience: Half (1/2) year or more of experience working with the analysis and evaluation of managerial policies, systems, methods and practices
  • Specialized experience: experience in project coordination and administrative support in construction, facility, or similar organizational setting, reflecting the following number of years or more
    • Management Analyst II: no specialized experience required
    • Management Analyst III: One (1) year of experience required
    • Management Analyst IV: Two (2) years of experience required

Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year accredited college/university or experience of the type and quality described above to include administrative, professional, or technical work which required a high degree of analytical skill. Degree substitutions are calculated on a year-for-year basis.

MEDICAL/PHYSICAL EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT: Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment physical examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, two-step tuberculosis (TB) screen.
