Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Work under the guidance of the Endowed Chair of Global Health Program at the Nuvance Health, and together with the Director of the Global Health Academy, forwards the vision and mission of the Global Health Academy forward.
Manage, oversee, and implement international program development, finance and operational services; work closely with the Director, Regional Directors, Site Directors and Site coordinators in the field to provide administrative and managerial support of current global health program around the world.
Responsibilities:
1.Provide overall management and leadership for Global Health Academy
2.Organize and oversee Visiting Scholars’ (Global Health interns and fellows) and domestic and international participants at Global Health Academy
3.Facilitate as a site director between Nuvance Health/UVMLCOM Global Health Program and DMIMS (India) and Nuvance Health/UVMLCOM Global Health Program and Kazan State Medical University (Russia)
4.Explore and organize potential common interests among partner institutions;
5.Project management (e.g., developing timelines, organizing, and tracking tasks, writing reports)
6.Collaborate in developing new curriculums, educational modules, conduct assessments and evaluations of participants in global health program and effectiveness of interventions; Work in close collaboration with international partners toward collaborative educational programs (certificate, diploma, joint/twin programs)
7.Travel to the international sites for administrative and educational activities at least 2 months annually
8.Design and maintenance of a virtual education platform, as well as Web & Blog design & maintenance
9.Implement a mass communications platform for global health; and create a mass communications platform
10.Participate in organizing annual global health conferences and engage in global health scholarly activities
11.Participate in preparation of the annual reports, eMagazine, and the global health diaries
