Manager Infrastructure Services – IMCD Americas (Miami)
Reporting from our Miami USA office, this position’s purpose is to provide the region with experienced management skills to manage and oversee IMCD Americas technology infrastructure (network, servers, security, initiatives, projects, telephony) and acquisition infrastructure integrations in accordance with corporate standards.
- Fluent in English and Spanish communication skills, understanding of Portuguese an asset
- Familiar with standard IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
- VMWare experience.
- Familiarity with AWS.
- Possess an extensive knowledge of Office365 and similar applications.
- Project management training or certification considered a strong asset.
- Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis.
- Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing.
- Expertise on LAN, WAN, WLAN, Routers and Switches built on Fortinet infrastructure.
- Knowledge of managed circuits, VPN and SDWAN
- Knowledge of Windows networking services (DNS, DHCP).
- Knowledge of telephony protocols including PSTN, VoIP and cloud-based Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Intune, Microsoft Defender and Safenet.
- Infrastructure design, planning and documentation skills.
- Able to prioritize and plan workloads to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain uptime for all IT systems which include all server systems, LAN/WAN connections, wireless and wired network systems, wired/wireless phone and VM systems, Firewall/Remote Access VPN deployment and support.
- Supervise the activities of subordinate personnel (3 System Admins and various contractors) to provide technology support to IMCD Americas infrastructure.
- Review the work of subordinate IT employees to ensure conformance with established guidelines, methods, procedures, and policies.
- Work with Head Office IT team on the maintenance and installation of new servers and network appliances.
- Participate as a key member in designing and maintaining enterprise systems backup & recovery and technology policies and procedures.
- Negotiate with partners for best pricing on service contracts and hardware purchases.
- Create and offer technology solutions to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Head Office IT infrastructure team to evaluate and implement new technologies.
- Plan operating systems and maintain activity, outage and incident logs
- Build infrastructure strategy in collaboration with Head Office and business departments
- Supervise the support, operation and maintenance of server systems.
- Participate in the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate/install patches or updates, and resolve software related problems.
- Perform and maintain system backups and recovery.Maintain data files and monitors system configurations.
- Oversee and supervise the operation, maintenance and support of all IMCD Americas network, wireless & telephony systems.
- Make budgetary recommendations for hardware, software and licenses.
- Provide security monitoring on systems and devices as part of IMCD cyber security solutions and processes.
- Management & activities for:

. Perimeter devices (firewalls, proxy, etc.)
. Servers
. Physical and virtual servers
. Operating systems
. Storage and backups
. Disaster recovery
. Physical data centers, racking and cabling
- Vendor management:
. Establishing service level agreements (SLAs)
. Managing / negotiating access agreements
- Standards and procedures - establishing, writing, and distributing governance & policies for the team to accomplish their work, enforcing the governance.
Required Education and Experience:
- University degree or Community College in technology required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the field or in a related field
- Minimum 3 years supervising an infrastructure team
Miami, FL
Some travel to other offices and facilities required. Estimated travel commitment is approximately 15 days per year
Working conditions:
Some evening and weekend work may be required compensated by time in lieu.- Some physical activity and labour required from time to time
