Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager WV, is responsible to Plan, direct and coordinate the HR Administration and the Development activities of the organizational. Develops policies and strategies designed to protect the company and employee interests in accordance with company HR policies and governmental laws and regulations and the continues improvement and culture of the organization.

Knowledge | Experience | Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related area is required. Minimum 5 years of experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent communication and Interpersonal Skills required. Excellent communication skills with hourly and salaried employees. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Advise management concerning personnel and managerial policies and practices and their potential effects on organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
  • Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
  • Coach directors and managers on leadership and performance.
  • Analyze job requirements and concern to establish criteria for classification, selection, training and other related personnel functions.
  • Develop interview techniques, rating scales, and psychological test used to assess skills, abilities, and interest for employee selection, placement or promotion.
  • Conduct research studies of physical work environments, organizational structures, communication systems, group interactions, morale and motivation to assess organizational functioning.
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s personnel policies ad practices.
  • Study organizational effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency, including the nature of workplace supervision and leadership.
  • Plan, develop, and provide or arrange training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected productions process, changes, and other factors.
  • Ensure a safe workplace through design and implementation of comprehensive safety programs and procedures. Ensure compliance with appropriate safety regulations. Maintain appropriate records related to OSHA, WC, etc.
