JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: MarinersVision – Host
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Game Entertainment Manager, Marketing
Status: Non-exempt, Seasonal

Primary Objective:
Responsible for being an energetic personality at Electric Factory as a host and assistant producer for the 2023 season.

Essential Functions:
  • Deliver clear and concise information to fans at T-Mobile Park as a host, typically without notes, in live and pre-recorded segments.
  • Create a lively and fun experience by introducing live elements and contests, often using adlib and improvisation skills.
  • Be prepared to operate as a MarinersVision assistant producer by script writing, stage managing, sourcing and sharing information throughout the production, curating social content, and other duties as assigned.
  • Work accordingly with members of MarinersVision crew, mascot program, Navigators promotion team and Mariners front office staff to elevate the show.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, be flexible, and adjust as needed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prompt attendance of crew meetings and rehearsals as assigned.
  • Show respect and care for control room equipment and cameras and shared workspaces.

Education and Experience:
  • Previous work as a host, MC or broadcaster required.
  • Previous experience in sports preferred

  • Possesses strong people skills and ability to engage with individuals of all backgrounds and ages, especially children
  • Must be reliable to report to work on-time and to work in assigned area independently
  • Exhibits teamwork; collaborates and communicates with team members with a positive demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal and nonverbal communication skills; all interactions are respectful and appropriate for the audience
  • Comfortable speaking to crowds while exhibiting professionalism on camera.

Physical Activities and Working Conditions:
  • Must be available to commit to a minimum 5-hour workday for games and events, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Indoor and outdoor work environment, subject to fluctuation in temperatures, exposure to the sun and elements.
  • Must be able to access assigned locations in T-Mobile Park including navigating concrete stairwells, ramps and concourses.
  • Must be able to make crew call.
  • Must be able to move up to 35 lbs.

The anticipated pay for this seasonal role is $20 per hour.
