Position Purpose:

Timber Press seeks a Marketing Associate who will be responsible for direct-to-consumer email campaigns, website merchandising, and additional consumer-focused marketing efforts. We are looking for a team player who can contribute to our creative, collaborative team. Our ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, familiarity and enthusiasm for digital marketing, superb time management and prioritization skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. This position reports to the Associate Marketing Director. We are looking for the candidate to be based in our Portland, Oregon office with a hybrid office/work-from-home schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creation, management, development, and analytics of approximately 3-5 consumer email campaigns per month
  • Increase email list growth, generate revenue-generating leads, and increase conversion rates
  • Makes seasonal, themed, and title-specific updates to website via our content management system
  • Develop landing pages for specific books, campaigns, and brands
  • Manage Amazon Ad campaigns, both single-title focused and theme-based stores
  • Work with the Marketing and Publicity Assistant on campaigns for backlist titles
  • Support the Marketing Director as needed on related projects

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required:

  • 2-3 years of marketing experience
  • Experience working with Mailchimp or enterprise ESP; an understanding of email marketing analytics, audience development, and segmentation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in digital tools: Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, Canva, Viral Sweep, Formstack
  • Proactive and capable of taking ownership of projects
  • Superb organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Able to adapt quickly and keep up to date on the latest digital trends
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with a range of stakeholders

The compensation range for this position is $44,000 - $46,000 per year. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
