NuEra Cannabis is looking for a highly organized and motivated Marketing Manager to support our family of six retail dispensaries across the IL market. This position will require travel within IL to dispensary locations and events, with the remainder of time spent working remote.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all aspects of nuEra Retail Marketing initiatives including (but not limited to):

  • Create or source original, engaging, and shareable content for various marketing campaigns and platforms.
  • Work under the leadership of the Director of Marketing to create, implement and monitor success of all marketing initiatives and KPI’s.
  • Work with the Marketing Assistant on Social Media marketing campaigns to help implement strategies to increase followers and their participation on our accounts, manage the nuEra social media content calendar and to stay current with all nuEra Social platforms.
  • Help identify and work with social media support staff at each location to assist in content creation and social media maintenance.
  • Partner with our Retail and Buying teams to execute upon and drive awareness toward planned promotions, merchandising, discounts, holiday specials, promos, and giveaway competitions to create a superior customer experience.
  • Regularly engage at the dispensary level to obtain feedback and marketing collateral requests from the retail team.
  • Work with the Retail Operations Manager to help improve branding, display, look and feel at all retail dispensary locations.
  • Manage our CRM system to drive brand loyalty and encourage repeat business, ensuring email sends and posts follow a regular cadence.
  • Continually improve how we use data to drive the business.
  • Plan and execute various hyperlocal community-engagement initiatives and events to build brand awareness at all locations.
  • Serve as the expert on the local cannabis marketplace: anticipate consumer wants and needs, provide insight on the competitive landscape, maintain in-depth market knowledge, and report on emerging industry trends at a micro and macro level.
  • Develop and expand relationships with Influencers, PR Agencies, Cannabis Doctors, Music Venues, Head shops, local Chambers of Commerce, and other outlets to ensure accurate brand representation and exposure.
  • Represent nuEra professionally and favorably at various events and community engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives are compliant and adhere to state regulatory guidelines.
  • Frequently lifting, moving, carrying store inventory, weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally ascending/descending ladders or stairs.
  • Additional duties and tasks, as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Self-starter who can take initiative and see projects to completion.
  • Adaptable and able to pivot in times of change.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within IL market is a primary expectation. Remaining time will be spent working remotely from your home office.
  • Reliable personal transportation is a must.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, presenting, and adhering to budget and staffing proposals.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Ability to satisfy company requirements for vaccination against COVID-19, or obtain approved medical or religious exemption

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of related experience in a marketing-focused position is a plus
  • A passion for cannabis that is translatable across a diverse group of ages, familiarity levels, and backgrounds.
  • Working knowledge of Cannabis Text/Loyalty software (Spring Big, Alpine IQ, etc) is a plus
  • Strong sense of design, and ability to use Adobe Suite, Canva and other photo and graphics editing software.
  • Familiarity with Wordpress or similar content management systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IL Medical and Recreational Cannabis Program rules and regulations regarding dispensary operations is a plus.
  • Ability to acquire a state credential by passing required background check and any other requirements listed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
