Summary


Oldcastle APG is seeking an MDM Product Owner to help drive the execution of Master Data Management roadmap. The ideal candidate will possess significant data management experience allowing them to adequately drive the evolution of the MDM capabilities in response to enterprise business needs through collaboration with Business and IT experts. This role serves as the champion for data governance ensuring that the design and integrity of Master Datasets is maintained within and across APG’s systems.


Responsibilities


  • Build and manage the MDM platform backlog to address enterprise needs

  • Responsible for defining stories and prioritizing Team Backlog by business value or ROI to execute programs while maintaining integrity of the features

  • Understand business needs and identify creative solutions with Enterprise Architect and Data team to address them

  • Define critical Data Quality metrics and establish a process to measure and report on them

  • Identify and facilitate the integration of MDM with other APG applications to ensure data integrity across APG systems

  • Lead the discussions with the Data Domain owners to define & maintain relevant hierarchy structures

  • Coordinate trainings for Data literacy and MDM processes across APG divisions

  • Present the strategy and proposed enhancements for review/approval in the Data Governance Steering meetings

  • Evaluate MDM vendors and lead the implementation of MDM tool in collaboration with Data Domain owners and IT Teams

  • Collaborate with Data Governance leads across CRH North America entities to define and govern key attributes for Customer/Product/Vendor data domains

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders from Business and IT and ensure MDM enhancements are well coordinated and communicated


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or related field is required

  • 3+ years in Product/Project management or related role

  • Strong Data Strategy and Management experience

  • Prior experience implementing MDM Solutions is required

  • Strong understanding of Data structures and relationships

  • Strong Data analysis skills, strong in PL/SQL

  • Knowledgeable in technology and software development processes

  • Strong presentation development and delivery skills

  • Proactive and strategic thinker; able to look ahead and foresee issues and plan around them

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience with Tableau is a plus

  • Fair understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) required

  • Excellent collaboration skills

  • Experience with Manufacturing Domain is a huge plus
