Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Material Analyst to join our team! This position is based at the Jackson, MI facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $62250.03 - $91300.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
Primary Function
This position will develop processes required to perform all inventory and shipping related functions in an efficient and accurate manner. Constantly monitor and analyze all finished goods inventory related transactions made in the ERP system. Provide feedback and direction to shop floor supervisors and hourly associates pertaining to processes used to perform inventory related transactions. Provide training for all inventory related transactions as required. Performs transactions necessary to invoice customer orders specific to each customer requirement and ship method. Maintains proper queue management and product flow. Conducts auditing functions to verify correct shipments and maintained inventory accuracy through post-production.
Essential Functions
You will assess data using multiple programming tools (i.e. Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
You will perform inventory related activities and develop processes to reduce inventory and improve product flow through post-production
You will continually perform inventory aging analysis and reviews potential excess and obsolete material with the buyer and manage the disposal process. As well as ensure planning parameters are updated to prevent future excess and obsolete
You will coordinate and support daily cycle counting activities and work to quickly replenish miss transacted inventory with buyers and planners to support external customers.
You will continually perform inventory and ABC item stratification analysis to achieve inventory targets while meeting availability goals and monthly sales targets
You will coordinate documentation of new processes with systematic training incorporated to insure long term sustainable improvements.
You will provide training on inventory and shipping related procedures and processes
You will work proactively with internal/external customers to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements while upholding the standard work procedures of the shipping office.
You will aid other key staff members and functional projects as needed.
You will understand and analyze supply chain information and develop innovative methods and procedures for corrective actions within the department and/or division.
You will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure product is being built, stocked, shipped in the most optimal / economical way possible to minimize waste in storage, minimize waste in stock handling, and waste in movement.
You will creatively think of delivery solutions to ensure shipment forecast dollars are hit daily/monthly and self-monitor the progress to the target throughout the work day.
You will target continuous improvement opportunities to stream line the efficiency of the entire post-production area.
Qualifications:
Required/Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR minimum 1 year of Supply Chain or Production experience.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Jackson, MI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient Microsoft Excel and Data Analysis
- Proficient in the development and tracking of internal metrics
- Knowledge of ERP item parameter set up and inventory control processes
- Program management experience preferred
- Exposure to institutional problem-solving tools/processes such as cycle time reduction and process
- Improvement tools: Six Sigma, DMAIC methodology, Kaizen, DOE, Pareto Charts, Process mapping, Tree diagrams, Root cause analysis, Analytical software programs
- Experience leading new product development projects
- Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production associates to the leadership team
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing process, metal forming, assembly/test in an Aerospace environment preferred
