Job Description:
Ariens Company is seeking a high-caliber Material Leader that provides leadership and direction in the attainment of daily/monthly operations/materials goals; is responsible for continuous improvements in material replenishment, inventory management, material forecasting, and supplier communications.
This position is located in Brillion, WI.
The Day to Day...
- Live by and promote the Ariens Core Values and 15 Principles
- Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure accountability for team
- Accountable for managing resources to ensure key value stream metrics are met
- Inventory turns

- Quality - Executes the disposition of all purchased material rejects
- Provides supplier feedback to Sourcing and Quality Teams
- Executes the SIOP process (Planned versus actual)
- Execute continuous improvement throughout assigned area
- Lead, coach, mentor team in a continuous improvement mindset
- Support new product development and engineering (PCS) projects
- Existing product/process improvements
- Problem-solves and implements corrective actions for the root causes of all material related issues
- Customer satisfaction
- Shop Floor Management
- Develop and sustain Plan for every part process (PFEP)
- Material space requirements and Kanban creations
- Material action triggers
- Location maintenance
- Manage and create tools to ensure compliance of systems
- Execute training, coaching and direction for development of team members
- TWI training
- Gemba walks
- Problem solving
- Use of lean tools
- Training Matrix
- Accountability boards
- Leader standard work
- Pull systems
- Manage the process to issue signals to suppliers to deliver material to assigned areas. (kanban, forecast, visuals, purchase orders, etc)
- Controls the creation of serial numbers for finished goods and maintains product history
- Determines production schedule and capacities to fulfill customer orders
The Requirements...
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Minimum of five years related operations; previous lean and materials experience
- Strong analytical background
- Robust Excel skills and experience
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and development of people
