Position Summary
The incumbent will manage the full-service communication center and supervise Media Center Staff.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Develop a communications and media plan that highlights the interests and achievements of the college
- Manage a full-service communications center and supervise a staff of technical and support staff
- Provide training for all staff on the use of all training materials through various informational, media, and other technologies
- Coordinate the master calendar of conferences, trainings, and meetings for the college
- Coordinate the production of brochures, newsletters, and other print media
- Work with the College Dean, University Relations, and others to coordinate join tasks and projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Promote distance learning and digital communications competencies
- Thorough knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
- Manage a staff with diverse skills
- Prioritize tasks, develop communication strategies, and work with internal and external stakeholders
- Must understand the many facets of marketing a dynamic college
- Preferred: knowledge of higher education and agriculture
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience in a field related to media, media production and/or communication.
- Additional coursework or degree in agriculture or related field is preferred.
