  • Perform general office duties such as receiving calls and relaying messages appropriately, maintaining files, ordering office supplies, creating admission binders, marketing materials, employee handbooks, volunteer handbooks, and general light cleaning of the office.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to maintain positive relations with patients, facilities, family members, vendors, and staff.
  • Assist nurses with weekly distribution of supplies for pick up.
  • Assist Director of Nursing with patient and clinician coorespondence, generating letters, forms, and policies, and assisting with daily tasks.
  • Provide in person orientation to newly hired employees and volunteers, focusing on the mission and vision of the organization. Ensure all employee orientation forms are signed and dated for filing. Create company badges.
  • Train and oversee administrative volunteers. Provide projects and assignments within their abilities.
  • Assist the Hummingbird Hospice and Wings of Hope Marketing Directors with the organization and correspondence of public, social, and virtual events.
  • Inform Supply Supervisor of any office supply needs for purchase.
  • Prepare printed marketing materials (brochures, business cards, flyers) for approval by the Director of Operations and place orders.
  • Schedule meetings for the Director of Operations, Director of Clinical Operations, and Director of Nursing upon request.
  • Transfer phone lines at the beginning (by 9am) and end of business day (5pm) to the scheduled on-call nurse.
  • Send timely notifications for staff meetings, IDG meetings, and scheduled leadership or team meetings to the appropriate members.
  • Oversee payment or collection of funds for services, including preparing checks for signature, creating invoices, and mailings.
  • Attend company marketing, public, and social events when possible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
