Billing Specialist opportunities with ARC Healthcare in a remote capacity!

ARC Healthcare is seeking experienced medical billing specialist. In these roles you will review claims and documents submitted by providers to establish fair and accurate resolution of medical claims in the dispute process. Billing Specialist will work closely with clinical reviewers, coders, and administrative support to facilitate and expedite claims resolutions contracted by State and Federal entities. Medical coding, Multi-tasking, communication, organizational, and time management are essential in being successful. Training will be provided, having medical coding knowledge is a plus. Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift: 9am - 5:30pm eastern time zone

Wage: Competitive

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed review of assigned case documentation to assess and validate the dispute.

• Prepare written summary of findings, with clear rational and statement of decisions.

• Calculate reimbursement amounts and detect errors.

• Effectively utilize Fair Health and other provided rate guidance programs.

• Assign cases for clinical input and proof for final release.

• Routinely present project status in huddles and scrums and present solutions to common errors and concerns.

• Provide support to the patient appeal program and liaise with IPRO coders and physicians as necessary.

• Other activities as may be deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist
• Medical coding experience preferred

• Ability to problem solve and work collaboratively with peers, medical, analytical, and administrative support staff.

• Excellent written and verbal skills.

• Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Requirements:

• Valid State I.D. or Drivers License
• Bachelors or advanced degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred

• Familiarity with New York State billing rules and regulations.
