Overview:
The Medical Imaging Assistant provides diagnostic imaging support for patients with the knowledge and ability to collect information, assess, and intervene as appropriate in the care of patients. Coordinates and works with the other members of the patient care team by performing a range of administrative and clinical functions. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, insurance verification, rooming patients, taking vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, assisting technologists and RNs, and other duties as assigned. This position is full time, 72-80 hours per two weeks, working primarily 8-hour day shifts with occasional evening/night/on-call shifts and every other weekend. Fully benefit eligible!

Fairview Range is seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in Hibbing, MN. With imaging services at Fairview Range Medical Center and the Fairview Mesaba clinics, we serve patients in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. We provide a vast array of imaging services including x-ray, CT, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy, and pain management, as well as ultrasound and nuclear medicine.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Prepares patient for exam and explains to the patient in everyday terms.
- Responsible for documenting patient history, information, and encounters.
- Documents orders accurately in accordance with RRHS's policies and procedures.

- Sanitizing medical supplies and disposing of materials that have been used.
- Cleaning and stocking of supplies for the exam rooms.
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred:
Experience in Medical Assisting, Nursing Assistant, or assistant in Imaging.
Completion of CMA or CNA training program.
