This position is located in the East Hawaii Health Clinic Cancer Center of Hilo Medical Center. The East Hawaii Region (EHR) of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation includes Hilo Medical Center, Ka’u Hospital, Hale Ho’ola Hamakua, Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home and the network of primary and specialty clinics within the East Hawaii Health Clinics. The Big Island of Hawai'i offers amazing rainforests, waterfalls and beaches. The hospital staff is community-oriented and strive to provide competent and compassionate care to every patient that enters our doors. It is home to the Hawaii Community College, University of Hawaii, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, excellent schools and convenient shopping.
SUMMARY:
The Staff Oncologist provides professional medical assessment and care to the patients of East Hawaii Health Clinic Cancer Center and Hilo Medical Center. The staff physician is responsible for coordinating and rendering professional medical advice and making decisions on evaluations, diagnoses, rehabilitation, referral and treatment services of such patients.
CERTIFICATION:
Board Certification or Preparedness in Internal Medicine and Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology.
LICENSURE:
Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii.
