Part-Time and PRN positions on days and eveinings available based on department schedule availability.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing in the Core Lab and Blood Bank and report results according to SOP
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment
- Perform quality control and maintain documentation according to SOP
- Maintain and manage inventory
- Maintain competencies and participate in continuing education
- Assist with training new Medical Laboratory Scientists
- Provides accurate and efficient information regarding the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients to the patient care team
Qualifications
Qualifications
- BS degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology
- ASCP or equivalent Medical Laboratory Scientist certification/eligibility
- Internship in a school of Medical Technology
- 6 months of hospital experience preferred
- Experience in Hematology/Chemistry/Blood Bank preferred
- New graduates welcome
