Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician - PRN
Job description
Purcell Municipal Hospital is seeking MT or MLT to fill PRN position in the Laboratory.
Position Summary:
- Under supervision and in a timely manner, accurately and precisely performs and reports laboratory tests.
- Assumes responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
- Assists in orientation of laboratory personnel as needed, promoting teamwork, positive attitude, initiative, and professionalism.
- Assists with inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Makes decisions of moderate to complex difficulty according to the policies and procedures of the laboratory and the hospital.
- Effective and professional communicator to patients, physicians, and fellow hospital staff.
- Handles confidential information regarding patient records.
- Performs all work in manner that aligns with Purcell Municipal Hospital policies and standards of performance.
Minimum Requirement: Associates Degree, with ASCP or AMT certification.
