In order to support current and future emergencies, Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) is currently accepting registration for medically trained volunteers interested in assisting government staff with emergency response at sites throughout Tulare County. We offer flexible schedules. If you are a medical professional and are motivated to support this great cause, you are encouraged to apply.
When you participate as a medical volunteer, we will provide you with the necessary tools to ensure your success and a positive experience.
Medically trained volunteers are able to treat emergency workers as incidents occur in the field. We are accepting interest applications from professionals in the following fields:
Currently licensed:
- Nurses (RN, LVN)
- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
- Nurse Practitioners
- Medical Assistants
- Pharmacists
- Pharmacy Technicians
- Paramedics
- Physicians (MD, DO, MD/DO)
- Physician Assistants
- Dentists (must complete immunization training)
- Optometrists (must complete immunization training)
To be eligible for COVID-19 emergency medical staffing roles, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or over
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Have a valid ID and Social Security number
- Have a valid California license for clinical practice
- Have no negative licensure/certification actions (for licensed/certified professionals)
