This position includes teaching youth and adults about barriers and how to overcome those barriers. This is a great chance to gain valuable experience supporting individuals with mental health concerns such as social anxiety and challenging behaviors. The Mental Health Technician is responsible for integrating clients into the community while developing appropriate social behaviors.
Responsibilities:
Provide support and services to individuals with varying diagnoses (ADHD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Personality Disorders, Mood Disorder, Autism, etc)
- Integrate individuals in the community.
- Assist with social skills, anger management, daily living skills, medication monitoring, and linking to resources.
- Be a positive role model.
- Meet with Mental Health Professional for mandatory supervision weekly or bi-weekly
- Attend case management and team meeting as requested by Program Manager and treatment team.
- Complete all documentation to CCS standards within 24 hours of contact with client to support interventions used.
- Complete continuing education trainings timely and as provided by Innovative Services, Inc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule/Hours:
- This position has a mix of hours based on client needs. These hours can vary from morning to early evening. Your schedule is built around your availability and hours in which you are hired for (part time or full time).
- Youth hours can increase during holiday breaks and summers.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
