SCOPE OF POSITION
The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for conducting individual and family sessions and groups with the clients to establish/review goals and document progress toward goals. The Therapist will facilitate group therapy modalities within scope of their practice. Facilitates clinical problem solving. Ensures timeliness, quality and appropriateness of all clinical documentation. This individual will develop the master treatment plan in a timely manner according to program policies and documents client status and response to treatment. The Therapist will attend Treatment Team, completes assessments, psychosocial histories, and discharge summaries. The therapist will monitor performance improvement processes to improve patient outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction.
The Therapist will serve as a liaison and intercedes with other disciplines, patients and families as appropriate, to provide consistent quality patient care. The Therapist perform other related work as instructed by the Supervisor.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or mental health related field. At least two years or related clinical experience with the serious and persistent mentally ill and/or substance abuse/use. Excellent group facilitation skills and experience. Must have ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to handle multiple demands in a calm, controlled manner. Experience in group therapy.
Valid and active LCSW, LPC, LMSW, LMFT, or other related licensure in the appropriate state (some positions may require TN & VA) or license eligible
AHA BLS required
Handle with Care annual certification
