Full-Time (Lead Position) and PRN (as needed) position available
Education: Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program and American Registry of Radiological
Technologists MRI, CT certification
Experience: 5 plus years experience preferred.
MRI exams are performed under the direction of the radiologist and in accordance with radiation safety procedures.
Provides a wide range of screening, diagnostic, and interventional procedures, ensuring the highest quality, access, service, and value to our patients and referring providers. Provides leadership and technical support to MRI services are provided within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Must be self-motivated to increase understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. Essential duties:
- Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and injury with minimal supervision or repeats.
- Screens patients before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
- Prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the body parts can be appropriately scanned.
- Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and working relationship with radiologists, referring offices, and other associates and peers.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, patients, and coworkers.
- Maintains accurate patient records within EMR and PACS.
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitors MRI supply inventory.
- Assists with training new technologists; provides resource and technical expertise.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $39.00 per hour
