Job Summary/Description:

WALB is seeking a passionate journalist to join our dominant news team as a Producer. As such, write and edit news stories and develop newscasts. You will work with a team of professional broadcasters and will be trained in a position that could launch a new career.

Having experience in writing and editing news copy. Understand how to turn promotional emails or press releases into news stories. Put together a newscast with graphics, communicate changes and intentions, and time a newscast, creating a production that delivers relevant stories and information to our viewers. This is a hybrid position.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Education background of either journalism or communications.
• Basic understanding of windows based electronics and the ability to learn ENPS as well as new systems as they are implemented. Must be willing to work in Albany, GA.
