SUMMER 2023 NURSE EXTERNSHIP (May 22 - July 29, 2023)

The Summer Nurse Externship is a 10-week program designed for ASN and BSN nursing students entering their final year. The program begins with a two-week orientation including both classroom and clinical components, in which the nurse extern performs basic bedside care and selected nursing procedures. The Nurse Extern is assigned to a Registered Nurse throughout the Externship for performing basic bedside care and selected nursing procedures. Nurse Externs partner with an RN to learn and demonstrate physical assessment skills, and learn and demonstrate routine basic care skills (bathing, safety and hygiene activities).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Nursing student entering their final year of an accredited nursing program.
