Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a part-time position (20-25 hours every 2 weeks) in our Dietary Department for a Food Service Assistant.
We are looking for an AMAZING Food Service Assistant with a "Get It Done" attitude! The ability to work with a TEAM in a collaborative and communicative environment is a MUST!
Food Service Assistant Responsibilities:
- The Food Service Assistant is responsible for passing trays to patients and for the handling and preparing cold food items as prescribed by Floyd Valley policies.
- Must be able to read and write English and have good math skills and some computer knowledge. Food Service Assistants must be able to read and follow recipes and do basic kitchen prep work. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must have great customer service and communication skills.
- Approximately 10-15 hours per week, every other weekend and every other holiday. Hours are Weekends 11a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Weekdays 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. Prior Food Service experience is a plus!
Requirements:
- Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee.
- Vaccinations for MMR, Flu and COVID-19 are required. Individuals who are seeking an exemption from these requirements for medical or religious reason should contact Human Resources for details.
