This opportunity entails being responsible for championing delivery best practices and lessons learned in pursuit of 4for4 delivery on every project in the local office through enforcement of the Delivery Standards of Performance and the Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA). Serves as a mentor/coach to department/project managers and teams. Serves as an advisor to the Office Leader and Office Management Team. Works closely with the Division Delivery Officer and may be asked to provide support at the Division level.

What You’ll Do:

  • Implement and own the Life-Cycle Tiger Team process within the local office. Initiate and facilitate office-led work planning efforts (Draft and Contract Work Planning) for select projects. Participate in corporate and division led Tiger Team sessions held in the local office, including supporting pre-work and setup activities.
  • Conduct and participate in Monthly Project Reviews as required by the Project Review SOP. Monitor follow-up and completion of action items as required.
  • Champion and enforce Delivery Standards of Performance (SOP's) and the Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) in the local office.
  • Review and approve all project management plans and work plans in the office for SOP compliance.
  • Assist project teams as necessary with resource and technology acquisition for project delivery, subcontracting efforts and inter-office agreements.
  • Train, coach and assist Department Managers and Project Managers in work planning and other Project Management Plan component development and implementation
  • Provide direct engagement and support for any recovery or containment plan actions for projects in the office.
  • Other duties as required or as assigned by the Office Leader or Direct Supervisor.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or relevant field and 7 years of Project Management experience
  • In lieu of degree, 11 years of project management experience

What We Prefer:

  • 10 years Department of Project Management experience
  • Significant understanding of HNTB's Project Management and Financial systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of HNTB operating budgets and operations/business practices.
  • Basic understanding of HNTB's other three primary business processes: SPA, SSA and SCA.

The approximate pay range for Washington is $191,921.25 - $306,575.52. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
