Summary:
Empower U. is a dynamic in-home, mental health organization that is rapidly growing each year.
Empower U. provides Respite services to children with developmental disabilities between the
ages of 5 and 21, who are seeking services after school and after work hours. We are seeking
highly motivated, professional, respite technicians for part-time and per-diem positions.
Requirements:
High school Diploma minimum- Experience with DD children 1-2 years preferably
- Ability to work independently
- Report writing skills are a must
- Flexible availability to work at school site
- Flexible availability to work in home/in community
- Must possess own vehicle
- Experience implementing progression plans
- Smartphone
- Knowledge of google suites
Skills:
Fluency in languages in addition to English is a plus- Self-motivated & enthusiastic
- Ability to multi-task throughout the entire shift
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care for children and families with a wide array of disabilities- Ensure staff is in compliance with program policies
- Assist youth with activities of daily living
- Supervisory skills required
- Ability to effectively manage a team of 5-10 employees daily with help from the
- Must be organized, detailed oriented, and able to complete necessary paperwork
- Communicate with the families for the youth we provide services for
- Day-to-day responsibilities including but are not limited to filing, creating activities for
- Provide assistance to families by taking youth out into the community and engaging with
- Provide necessary resources and support system development
- Assist youth with activities of daily living
- Willing to travel to neighboring counties within a 10-15-mile radius
Hours: Mon-Fri 2:00pm - 6:00pm
Sat/or Sunday (6-hour time frame)
Based on Family and Provider Agreement
Job Types: Part Time
Pay: $17-$21/hour
