The Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for operational oversight including:

  • Working with Site Coordinators to achieve quality standards for their assigned hospitals.
  • Auditing files to ensure all personnel is in compliance with Babies First, State, OSHA, The Joint Commission (TJC), and hospital requirements.
  • Working with the Site Coordinator and Supervising Audiologist to ensure all refer babies are being followed appropriately and getting the care they need through outcome.
  • Active participation in the start-up of all new programs.
  • Partnering with the Vice President of Operations (VPO) to develop staffing needs for each site.
  • Communicating staffing needs to the Human Resources Director to insure staff is available when the program starts.
  • Onsite at the beginning of each new program to meet and train new technicians and site coordinators.
  • Conduct a follow-up on-site visit approximately 2-4 weeks after start-up to reinforce earlier training and ensure the competency of all staff.
  • Providing or coordinating site coverage.
  • Virtual support to all sites on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensuring that all state reporting is done timely and meets state requirements.
  • Communicate quarterly to the EHDI group for each state assigned, confirming that all state reporting is current and correct.
  • Ensures that all statistical reporting to hospital partners, billing, staffing, quality, and satisfaction items are completed on time and as requested.
  • Coordinate with each Site Coordinator to insure that regular meetings are taking place with hospital management. At least quarterly, but more often if requested by hospital partners.
  • Periodic visits to each location to ensure that all ongoing operations are functioning properly and will reinforce best practices in regard to screening, management, HIPAA compliance, etc.
  • Assisting site coordinators with any concerns or issues at each site, escalating them to the proper channels as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned

Babies First will require all employees and new hires to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they qualify for an approved medical and/or religious exemption.

Qualifications:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Travel is required up to 50% of the time and more often when needed.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required
  • Detail and multi-task oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift) when on site
  • Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • This position is remote with the preferred candidate living in the following states MO(preferably Kansas City metro area), IL, OH, MA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
