Position Summary:
Oversees and assists the operation of the entire hotel. Monitoring of all hotel departments training, staff meetings and record maintenance/recording. Performs property inspections and performance coaching/reviews. Will perform revenue forecasts, account balancing, bookkeeping/deposits tasks, hotels sales and property tours. In the absence of the General Manager is acting Hotel Manager.
Essential Functions & Tasks:
1) All duties listed in the job description for Guest Services Representative and Assistant Front Desk Manager, Night Auditor and Bell-person.
2) Hiring, training, supervision, discipline, and termination of Front Office and Bellpersonnel.
3) Review all department schedules weekly.
4) Handle personnel problems and complaints in a timely and prudent manner.
5) Handle guest problems and complaints in a timely and prudent manner.
6) Maintain accounts receivables and house accounts.
7) Maintain an ongoing line of communication with all department managers to assure smooth interaction between departments.
8) Liaison with the sales staff to discuss and implement sales strategies and promotions to continually improve occupancy levels and revenues.
9) Monitor and maintain the Front Office systems and equipment to ensure their optimum performance.
10) Preform the Manager on Duty functions as assigned.
11) Completion of any other tasks and/or duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
1) Neat & well groomed appearance. Uniformed in appropriate attire.
2) Requires finger dexterity, grasping, sitting, standing, walking, writing, bending, repetitive motion, hearing, visual acuity, and carrying up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
3) Pleasant personality and excellent people skills.
4) Flexibility in scheduling including weekends and Holidays.
5) Maintaining a high level of quality, service and cleanliness.
6) Eye for detail.
7) Good communication skills.
8) Ability to understand and follow directions. Perform required job functions under limited supervision.
9) Have any current licenses required by the State or local jurisdictions.
10) Minimal travel is required.
Accountability:
1) Maintaining a high level of quality, service, and cleanliness.
2) All lobby and Front Office areas must be kept clean.
3) Follow all State, Federal, and local laws.
4) All Hotel areas of accounting, Wisco, and franchise inspections or audits.
5) Daily cash drawer, deposits, and hotel sales.
