Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, a proud addition to Banyan Treatment Centers, is currently recruiting a operations professional to join our team in Lake Worth, Florida as an Operations Supervisor. This position would report directly to the Director of Operations and the Executive Director.
Schedules Available:
- 1st Shift (8:00AM-4:30PM): Monday-Friday
- 2nd Shift (4:00PM-12:00AM): Tuesday-Saturday

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the general day to day operations and direct supervision of Behavioral Health Technicians, Housekeeping, and Kitchen. The purpose of the Operations Supervisor is to work as a liaison with inter department disciplinarians within the campus. This will assist with continuum of care and smooth communication to benefit patient’s care with housekeeping, behavioral health, and food service teams.
Job Duties:
- Works closely with clinical director and nursing supervisor to ensure quality patient care.
- Email out any needs of the patient to appropriate staff
- Review assessments from referring facilities and note problems/issues that require further attention
- Contact referral source and other key individuals to gather additional information as necessary
- Assist in interventions, as needed, including AMA blocking
- Document patient interactions as they transpire in AMR
- Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.
- Address problem behaviors
- Create atmosphere in which self-disclosure is facilitated
- Adhere to time schedules
- Give patient a clear picture of where he/she stands with regard to progress toward recovery as seen by the therapist and the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Enforce program rules and regulations in a firm but fair manner
- Confront counter-productive behavior appropriately
- Bond with patients and elicit respect
- Adapt to different types of patients
- Identify patient strengths and weaknesses
- Link patient with internal and external resources as needed to meet patient needs
- Maintain contact with referral source and other key individuals
- Assist patient in managing outside stressors (legal, financial, vocational, etc.) according to the best interests of the patient’s
progress in recovery
- Prepare patient to maintain recovery post-discharge
- Assist, when needed, in develop a discharge plan that meets patient needs for ongoing support
- Facility Supervisor activities including but not limited to: Assist with coordination of all new patient admissions with regards to room placement and moves.
Act as a liaison when patients are transferred to a hospital or another property. Coordinate patient care and assures all patient needs are being met.Assist with ensuring grounds are maintained and the aesthetic needs on property are being maintained and improved if needed.
- Assign and maintain group schedules.
- Supervises BHTs, Housekeeping, and Food Services staff
- Maintain schedules and schedule coverage, with awareness to overtime and receiving prior approval for such.
- Complete performance reviews and new hire training and orientation.
- Complete payroll and verify timesheets.
- Review shift summaries and incident reports for accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct monthly fire drills and submit written report.
- Facilitate weekly Community Meeting
- Maintain required postings/licensures
- Creation of monthly recreation calendar
- Facilitate property tours for potential clients/families as well as in-house tours for the business development team
- All property purchase orders.
Qualifications:
- A passion for the field of behavioral/mental health
- Two to Four Years of work experience in substance abuse and/or mental health field
- Some education preferred or meets experience requirements
Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written
skills.
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient
Confidentiality laws.
- Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
- Knowledge of Workplace Violence.
- Knowledge of Corporate Integrity & Compliance
Program.
