About In Focus Eyecare Center
Established in 1995 by Dr. Ervin Mendlovitz, In Focus Eyecare Center serves the communities of Northwest San Antonio, offering full-service optometry to families and residents. The practice is committed to providing superior eye care in a personalized, convenient, and efficient manner. To help preserve the precious gift of sight, the doctors and team of professionals take a patient-centered approach with particular emphasis on general health conditions that can affect eye health. To help support ongoing business growth, the practice is looking to add a Therapeutic Optometrist to the team of eight professionals.
With a focus on preventative care, the practice features advanced technology to analyze eye health and vision function, allowing for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases. The clinic is fully equipped with the industry's latest equipment, including optical coherence tomography. The practice features a large, spacious optical boutique with the latest fashionable eyewear styles for all budgets—plus, the optical staff provides personalized support to help customers select the best eyewear for fit, functionality, and fashion options.
About the Therapeutic Optometrist Opening
In Focus Eyecare Center is seeking a Therapeutic Optometrist with a strong passion for providing personalized eye care and individualized solutions. You'll have the opportunity to practice full-scope optometry and care for a wide variety of patients and conditions—on average, 12 to 18 patients are cared for daily. You'll perform general eye and medical exams, contact lens fittings and promote good eye health through patient education. The position is part-time, offering 12 to 16 hours weekly. The practice is looking for a candidate with excellent clinical eye care skills and patient communication skills. For the right professional, a future partnership opportunity may be available.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate is a team player who will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Optometry license in the state of Texas
- State therapeutic license
