Primary Purpose
This role plans and executes all aspects of new employee orientation, which includes coordination of people and material resources, facilitation, and training documentation. Facilitates other training courses to support orientation and development efforts. Consults with stakeholders to effectively deliver learning solutions.

Minimum Specifications

Education
  • Must have bachelor’s degree.
  • Highly prefer bachelor’s degree in a communication, education, or related field.

Experience
  • Must have two (2) years of program management or coordination experience.
  • Must have two (2) years’ platform presentation experience.
  • Prefer one (1) year of corporate facilitation experience.

Equivalent Education and/or Experience
  • May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.

Skills or Special Abilities
  • Must have the ability to plan and organize to ensure effective delivery and documentation of orientation programs.
  • Must demonstrate strong presentation and group facilitation skills with an emphasis on adult learning practices, including relevant technologies, methods, and tools.
  • Must possess superior communication skills both verbally and in writing and be able to communicate with all levels of Parkland staff.
  • Must be analytical, organized, and creative with projects.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain a current and comprehensive learning materials to include workshop materials, metrics data and catalogs.
  • Must have ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with key partners and stakeholders for orientation efforts.
  • Must have superior organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with a high degree of professionalism with little direction.
  • Must be able to interpret, apply and explain rules regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures an organized, warm welcome and meaningful learning experience for all new Parkland staff.
  • Completes all planning and coordination duties for new employee orientation. This includes ongoing collaboration with other teams that support employee processing and scheduling.
  • Manages all dependences needed to complete assigned orientation and training programs.
  • Maintains all necessary training documentation for regulatory and organization policy requirements.
  • In collaboration with others, analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training solutions.
  • Consults with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of assigned training curriculum.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities to streamline orientation programs and owned onboarding processes.
  • Facilitates all assigned orientation and training, while effectively applying learning and development best practices.
  • Supports other orientation process requests for new employees, as needed.

Job Accountabilities
  • Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
  • Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.
