General Job Objective:
Prepare a variety of components and parts to enable a quality paint finish to fulfill customer expectations.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unit of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Understand and follow general housekeeping guidelines.
- Operate steam equipment.
- Be able to apply body putty using proper techniques.
- Operate orbital sander to prepare units, parts and/or any sub-straight material prior to finish.
- Preparation of units and parts will be completed by using masking tape, caps, plugs, plastic, etc. when needed to protect areas from coming in contact with paint.
- Comfortable using overheads and Blue Giants to load and unload parts carts or monorail systems.
- Assure all parts and units are free and clean of grease, oil and/or any other containments that may jeopardize paint integrity.
- Complete titration of washers daily.

There is frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Employees required to wear half or full face respirators must take and pass a pulmonary function test annually, as well as be fit tested annually and must complete a medical surveillance questionnaire each year.
No facial hair is permitted that may interfere with the seal of the respirator.
Areas that utilize air supplied hoods; there are no medical requirements but must complete a medical surveillance questionnaire each year.
