Job Position: Paper Cup Machine Operator

Job Location: Stone Mountain, GA

Reports To: Departmental Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Paper Cup Machine Operator will be responsible for operating paper cup forming machines to produce high-quality paper cups. This individual will also assist in operating the paper cup punching machine and flexographic printer. They will work with a team of production personnel to ensure that production goals are met while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate the each paper cup forming machine to produce paper cups according to the desired specifications, including size, shape, and design.
• Assist in operating the paper cup punching machine and flexographic printer to produce high-quality paper cups with branding and design.
• Monitor the machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure that cups are produced efficiently and with high quality.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process, including identifying and resolving defects in the cups.
• Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of the machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels of paper stock, and report any shortages or issues to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating the machines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Work collaboratively with other production personnel to ensure that production goals are met, and that the work environment is safe and clean as per SQF guidelines and GMP practices.

Competencies:

To be successful in this position, the individual performing the duties must successfully demonstrate the following competencies:

• Planning and Organizing: Demonstrated ability to plan and organize your own work activities; analyze and disseminate numerical data; manage work time efficiently; follow procedures and policies; perform basic mathematical calculations; identify and solve problems; maintain a file system to include alphabetical, numerical, and chronological filing activities.
• Communication: Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, business writing, grammar and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills, detail oriented, a team player and be highly deadline driven.

Qualifications:

Education High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience:

• Previous experience operating paper cup forming machines, paper cup punching machines, and flexographic printers preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• One (1) year in a manufacturing environment.

Skills Basic computer skills (i.e. Excel, Microsoft Office, etc.). Good oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Bi-lingual individual is strongly preferred
• Must be able to abide by WinCup Values
