- This position will be supporting attorneys in the Denton and Dallas office . Work location will be flexible.
- Assist in calendaring, and coordinating deadlines and activities with the Office of the Attorney General and other outside agencies in files such as litigation, claims, subpoenas;
- Assist in collecting, organizing, indexing, and managing large volumes of documents for preservation and discovery or subpoena production, including e-discovery processes; creating and maintaining document databases;
- Assist in gathering and preparing documents and exhibits for witness interviews and deposition preparation; preparing chronologies, documents, and exhibits for mediation, administrative hearing, and litigation matters;
- Assist in creating and maintaining internal case databases, run searches on internal and external document databases and systems;
- Under guidance of an attorney, assist in drafting briefs, motions, affidavits, position statements, responses and other legal documents; preparing and filing documents with courts and agencies
- Engage in direct client contact with all levels of UNT System and component institution administration, faculty, and staff, and with the Office of the Attorney General and outside counsel;
- Conduct legal research using electronic sources;
- Create and organize briefs, exhibits, and appendices into binders for trial or mediation for attorney use during hearings or mediation.
