PART TIME Administrative/Event Assistant
Job description
IMMEDIATE OPENING: PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE/EVENT ASSISTANT. Assistant will be involved in work for several non-profit associations. Possible occasional event travel to Phoenix and Las Vegas.
Seeking a part-time assistant to perform a wide range of administrative and event management activities, while paying close attention to details in all aspects of work including event marketing and promotion.
Responsibilities:
- Support event management
- Seek potential sponsors and nurture new and existing relationships
- Membership management
- Research event venues and negotiate contracts
- Computer work (email communications, reports, meeting agendas, etc.)
- Database management
- Manage light social media
- Communicate with key stakeholders and speakers regarding event logistics
- Serve as an ambassador and confidently speak to the mission and vision of the organizations
Qualifications:
- Exceptionally strong organizational and time management skills, especially in coordinating programs and events
- Must be extremely detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in customer service and relationship building
- Ability to connect with board of director level client base
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Salesforce and Constant Contact knowledge a plus
- Graphic design experience for event promotion a plus
- Must be available to work occasional early morning breakfast events and evening events.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible daytime work schedule depending on event schedule, with potential to work remotely some days
- Approximately 15-20 hours per week, in addition to occasional event attendance
Compensation:
- Compensation based on experience
- Part-time employee status
