Bishop Dunne Catholic School: Part-time Transportation Manager

Bishop Dunne Catholic School seeks a transportation manager to begin June 2023.

Bishop Dunne is the only Catholic diocesan school that enrolls students in grades six through twelve. The Bishop Dunne student body mirrors the diversity of Dallas, with over 75% identifying as students of color, and approximately half the students are Catholic.

General Duties: The candidate will direct and manage school’s transportation and vehicle maintenance program. Oversee maintenance of all school-owned vehicles. Ensure safe and efficient operation o f transportation department.

Education/Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Transportation experience preferred.

• Valid Texas commercial driver’s license (Class B) with P (Passenger) and S (School Bus) endorsements

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to direct and manage operations of a large fleet of vehicles

• Knowledge of energy management and vehicle repair and maintenance

• Ability to manage budget and personnel

• Ability to coordinate district functions

• Ability to implement policy and procedures

• Ability to interpret data

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Must have a CDL, or school will pay for obtaining a CDL

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Hours: Monday – Friday, Schedule based on AM/PM Routes and events

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
