Position Summary:
The overall function of this position is to effectively market and manage parts product lines to exceed customers' expectations. To ensure incoming and outgoing parts and materials conform to HPF specifications which will result into complete customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Reviews cycle count result with parts clerk to maintain inventory record accuracy.
- Understands, supports and assists in the creation of procedures for maintaining inventory accuracy. Ensures all transactions of time sheets and work orders are accurate and complete.
- Determines inefficiencies in shipping department and recommends/implements improvement processes to improve accuracy of customers' orders. Advise employees on methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock and related problems.
- Coordinate with Materials Manager to review and suggest a material planning system that includes setting up and monitoring min/max limits, economic order quantities and lead times to prevent stock outs and to maximize profits.
- Coordinates the shipping of all products for all departments including domestic and international orders.
- Cultivates and maintains effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers and other vendors to ensure external resources and services are continually optimized for the distribution operation to ensure utilization of the best service in terms of dependability and goals of automation.
- Initiates or recommends personnel actions such as promotion, transfer, disciplinary measures and/or terminations through appropriate channels and/or by following proper procedures. Completes and administers subordinates' performance evaluations.
- Enforces Company safety rules and regulations. Ensures department and surrounding area(s) are clean and orderly.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
- Four (4) plus years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent computer and word processing experience.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to prepare business letters, summaries, and reports, using prescribed format and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties including frequent changes of tasks involving different aptitudes, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people at all levels.
- Self-motivated. Able to work independently without constant direction or supervision.
- Commitment to teamwork.
