Patient Advocate – FT Days

Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial 800 W. Randol Mill Road in Arlington, TX 76012
Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Day Shift, 5 – 8hr shifts, 11:00AM-7:00PM

Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Associate's Degree Preferred
Experience
- 3 Years Hospital Experience Required
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process:
- Reviews, researches, and evaluates complaints and inquiries.
- Prioritizes concerns in multiple or complex issues.
- Oversees referral, investigation, and resolution of complaints.
- Responds to government or regulatory complaints.
- Responds to government or regulatory agencies as needed. Identifies problems and works with those involved to implement changes and solutions.
- Follows CMS guidelines.
- Documents 100% of complaints received.
- Provides data for centralized database of patient complaints and assists with reporting of patient satisfaction/patient complaints as requested.
- Acts as an Advocate for patients
- Makes referrals to appropriate hospital and community resources.
- Acts as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
- Serves as resource person for hospital staff, medical staff, and physician's office staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
