At KHB, our Patient Care Coordinator play a significant role in helping to create a positive, welcoming, and warm environment for our patients. Focuses on providing numerous direct patient care services, performs medical back office assigned duties, and assists providers with minor office procedures. If this is you, please read on!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide patients with assistance with insurance authorizations on medications for coverage under their insurance plan.

· Work with patients, pharmaceutical representatives to obtain information necessary for medication coverage.

· Verify patient’s pharmacy insurance eligibility

· Effectively utilize the EMR as well as online authorization sites for medication programs, i.e. CoverMyMeds

· Provide necessary forms for patients for completion and signature, review all forms for completeness and accuracy.

· Telephone triage

· Respond to patient phone calls and concerns

· Process RX refills that come from the pharmacies or patients

· Arrange for consults and outside testing, such as MRI, other imaging, lab work, outside sleep studies using NextGen EHR

· Medical Records requests

· Process and respond to patient requests via our patient portal

· Process

· Assist MAs and providers as needed

· Other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Active LVN/ LPN or Certified Medical Assistant

· Associates or Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

· Up to date on CPR training

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient contact skills and excellent telephone manners.

· Ability to effectively lead a team

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, NOT REQUIRED:

· At least two (2) years of Management experience

· At least one (2) year of related experience in a Neurological setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
