Black Diamond Paving is hiring a Paving Construction Operations Manager in Escondido, CA.

The Paving Construction Operations Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating all Escondido jobs. This position will work closely with the General Manager, Sales Team, Operations Support, and the Field Foreman to ensure superior project outcomes.

Black Diamond Paving & Concrete provides pavement maintenance services for commercial, industrial, retail and multi-family residential markets. Black Diamond Paving has been in business for over 25 years, with its headquarters office located in Northern California and a second office located in Escondido.

Job Requirements:

• Manage schedule, and direct day-to-day activities of work crews with established company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Know capabilities and specialties of each of field personnel including foreman.
• Know equipment package and equipment capabilities.
• Oversee crew operations to ensure safe, profitable, and timely execution of quality work.
• Manage all job costing to achieve maximum margins, adjusting operations to correct inefficiencies.
• Taking field measurements for paving, concrete and sealcoat projects.
• Assist with build estimates using estimation software program when needed.
• Assist and advise Project Consultants regarding site plans and phasing plans.
• Conduct job audits to ensure job quality and consistency.
• Provide team leadership, coaching and training to ensure a productive operations team.
