Job Description:

We're searching for a dynamic self-starter who is looking to break into a career in payroll or human resources. If you only have a small amount of experience and no one will give you a chance, Consolidated Bus Transit believes in giving folks that break they're looking for to advance their career. The right candidate will be dedicated to the job; a hard-worker with a vision to place great experience and a decent tenure on their resume. We're looking for a roll-up-the-sleeves kind of individual because that kind of candidate will fit right in.

Job Duties:

• Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Collects and verified timekeeping information for all employees
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Maintains employee confidence, protects payroll operations, keep information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Dynamics Great plains 2018 or version 18.4 software knowledge a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient Microsoft Outlook, Excel knowledge and skills
• Knowledge of basic payroll
• Positive & professional team player
• High degree of attention to detail

Salary and Hours:

Pay Rate: $17.50 to $18.00 per hour; contingent based on experience

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m; an hour for lunch

Monday - Friday, opportunity for overtime available.
