Who we are looking for:

Wunderman Thompson is seeking a Regional Payroll Specialist who will prepare and process payroll, being responsible for maintaining confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information related to payroll processing, and who will assist regional finance with earnings, deductions, and payroll tax reporting. The Regional Payroll Specialist will support the greater finance team across North America and reports to the Director of Payroll.

This position is hybrid-flexible, with candidates ideally located in Atlanta, GA or surrounding areas. Candidates may work remotely as needed or may work within Atlanta's new WT office at Ponce City Market, opening this June!

What you'll do:

  • Payroll | Process full cycle multi-state, semi-monthly and biweekly payroll through our payroll systems in ADP (EV5) and Workday. Researches and resolves questions from employees as they relate to the processing of payroll information. Provides payroll assistance to Finance leads per location.
  • Organize | Maintains appropriate records to support all payroll transactions. Ensures that all approval policies and procedures are being adhered to in regards to payroll processes, wage increases, bonus calculations and other types of compensation issues. Makes payroll changes, including but not limited to adding new hires, terminations, salary changes, etc. Makes updates as necessary to controls and payroll spreadsheets
  • Audit | Checks for accuracy and approvals of payroll information and flags any necessary adjustments. Ensures payroll transactions are properly classified according to WPP payroll codes. Responsible for the completion of Tax Jurisdiction applications.
  • Collaborate | Answer all payroll questions for the respective ADP paygroups. Verifies new hire reporting through ADP for respective ADP paygroups. Escalates payroll related matters to the Director of Payroll if necessary. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • 5-10 years' experience with computerized payroll processing.
  • Experience with ADP and Workday strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Multi-state payroll experience.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Accounting aptitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
