The Center for Children, Inc. is seeking a qualified, full time, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (CRNP-PMH) to provide services to children and families in a community-based multidisciplinary outpatient treatment setting in Prince Frederick, Maryland. • 2 years experience diagnosing and treating children and adolescents

POSITION DESCRIPTION: A child psychiatrist is primarily responsible for diagnosing the source of a child’s mental or emotional disturbance and developing medication and treatment plans, to ensure the needs of the clients are met and maintained in accordance with policies, procedures, and current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. This is a full-time exempt position, reporting to the Medical Director

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine or conduct diagnostic tests to provide information on general condition and mental disorder.
• Evaluate patient data and test findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental or emotional disorder.
• Prescribe, direct, and administer psycho-therapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Review and evaluate treatments plans, procedures, and outcomes of psychologist and therapist.
• Collaborate with Clinical Director, psychologists and therapists to write treatment plans and progress notes.
• Provide Center information (policies) to clients/parents/guardians and ensure that responsible adult has understanding of and signs appropriate Center information forms.
• Submit client statistics to the Clinical Director as requested.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
