Position: PharmaceuticalManufacturing Technician

Location: Lynwood, WA

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $25.50/hour

We are hiring for a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician in Lynwood to work on the cleaning and sterilization of process equipment, autoclaving, buffer and media preparation, aseptic processing, operating process equipment and supporting cGMP operations. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in the science field looking to gain experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Equipment preparation (assembly, cleaning, autoclaving)
• Media/buffer compounding (weighing, measuring, mixing, filtering)
• Filter wetting and integrity testing
• Stocking of materials and equipment
• Performing basic maintenance of equipment and area
• Ability to work occasional weekends, holidays or overtime as needed
• Because these activities support cGMP commercial manufacturing, the following job conditions apply:
• Gowning to work in a Grade C/D cleanroom (ISO class 7/8)
• Training and qualification requirements, including proficiency assessments
• Robust documentation requirements for activities
• Revision of controlled documents
• Maintaining training and acquiring new skills
• Performing routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems

Qualifications:

• 1 plus years of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment or a bachelor’s degree in a science related field (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering)
• Be able to lift 15 kg (30 pounds) successfully without assistance
• Be able to wear a respirator while meeting compliance and safety guideline to complete certain tasks.
• Be able to work with strong acids, bases, and other solvents required for the job.
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to communicate both written and verbally effectively; solid ability to write procedures and exhibit strong documentation skills
