Our clients objective is discovers, develops, and markets vertical integration of pharmaceutical manufacturing and private label skincare. The company manufactures pharmaceutical products to assist physicians with their patients in the areas of dermatology and plastic surgery. The medications are customized to meet the needs of patients that are unable to tolerate commercially available medications.

Pharmacy Technician- Job Summary

• This is a Temp to hire position with medical, dental and vision insurance.
• Pay rate is: $18-21/hour.
• Location: Pompano Beach, Fl.
• Not a remote position, is to work on site
• We need a candidate with at least 2 years of experience doing sterile or non-sterile compounding experience.
• The compounding pharmacy technician works under the direction and supervision of the pharmacist to compound non-sterile and/or sterile dosage forms.
• The compounding pharmacy technician is expected to display high work ethic, productivity, and commitment to quality of work.

Compounding Pharmacy Technician - Responsibilities

• Under pharmacist supervision and direction, compound non-sterile and/or sterile dosage forms including suspensions, creams, solutions, ointments, injections, etc.
• Follow all applicable standard operating procedures required in the compounding processes, including use of equipment (i.e., analytical balances, ointment mills, LMX mixers), documenting requirements, and safety procedures.
• Ensure compounds are prepared in accordance to master formulation instructions and that all relevant compounding guidelines and quality standards are maintained
• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients during the compounding process per master formulation instructions and standard operating procedures.
• For compounded sterile preparations, perform visual inspections, collect, prepare, & package samples for environmental monitoring, prepare & package compounded sterile preparations for shipment upon release from quality, and other procedures per standard operating procedures.
• Report out-of-specification observations, deviations, and modifications immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
• Take part in relevant training and education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compounding Pharmacy Technician -Required Skills

• Communication – Communicates clearly, concisely, and professionally
• Analytical Skills – Demonstrates ability to critically evaluate and appropriately act upon information. Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions
• Policies & Procedures – Able to understand and follow policies, procedures, and systems
• PC Skills – Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word) applications; knowledge of, or ability to learn, other systems as required. Demonstrates ability to type on PC keyboard.
• Strong knowledge of product preparation, compounding, packaging and labeling as well quality assurance standards
• Strong knowledge of relevant USP compounding guidelines

Compounding Pharmacy Technician Experience & Qualifications

• Registered pharmacy technician with the Florida Department of Health-Required
• Certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) - Preferred
• 2+ years experience in non-sterile and/or sterile compounding- required
