Position Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, is responsible for performing assigned treatments, documenting treatment notes, and participating in patient and staff/student education. This position has exposure to communicable disease and body fluids. This position spends the majority of time walking and/or standing (up to 60% of work time). This position serves a variety of age groups: pediatrics (5% of work time), adolescents (5%), adults (40%) and geriatrics (50%). Travel to offsite facilities may be required.
Licenses/Certifications Required Licensed as a physical therapist assistant in the State of Arkansas, CPR
Specific Educational and Skill Competencies Required Requires knowledge of physical therapy practices as generally associated with graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program and licensure to practice as a physical therapist assistant in the State of Arkansas.
