Summary
The Advanced Brain Center of Dallas is hiring licensed Physical Therapists. The Physical Therapist (PT) administers physical therapy to patients within TBI and MTBI departments. Organize and conduct prescribed physical therapy programs in an acute and post-acute care inpatient setting to restore function. Ensure patients reach their maximum performance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Initial and on-going systematic patient assessment.
- Patient Case Load Average: 2 - 5 per day (est.)
- Timely and accurate documentation.
- Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports.
- Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Promoting continuous quality improvement.
- Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Certification
- Bachelor/ Masters/ Doctorate/Certificate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current state Physical Therapy license.
- Current CBIS and vestibular certification is a plus.
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Physical Therapist in the hospital setting preferred.
- BLS required at time of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
- Ability to write concise, legible documentation in patient’s medical record. Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures. Rhythm recognition, knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations. Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Ability to work with other members of the healthcare team to meet patient’s needs. Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, coworkers, employees, supervisors, and other hospital employees.
