Job description
The Piping Designer is an on-site position with a petrochemical client in the Vicksburg, MS area to support its upcoming turnaround project. The selected candidate will be responsible for completing several items on the project worklist that are to be implemented during the TAR. The piping designer will be required to be onsite throughout the duration of the project and attend weekly update meetings to track progress and address any issues that may arise.

Piping Designer key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the project team to complete assigned tasks within the given timeframe.
- Design piping systems using AutoCAD Plant3D 2023, AutoCAD 2023, Navisworks 2023, and other relevant Autodesk products.
- Create reports using Report Creator for AutoCAD Plant3D 2023, Recap 2023, Advanced Steel 2023, and Microsoft Office Suite (Primarily Word & Excel).
- Apply piping specifications, standard installation details, and other site-specific engineering guidelines and specifications in the design work.
- Use field measurement tools, such as measuring tape, plumb bob, levels, squares, auto level (elevation measurements), etc.
- Perform field work in elevated pipe racks that require climbing and be trained and competent in the use of fall-arrest body harnesses.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure all design work meets project requirements.
Piping Designer Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the petrochemical field as a designer.
- Proficiency in the understanding and application of piping specifications, standard installation details, and other site-specific engineering guidelines and specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant3D 2023, AutoCAD 2023, Navisworks 2023, Report Creator for AutoCAD Plant3D 2023, Recap 2023, Advanced Steel 2023, and Microsoft Office Suite (Primarily Word & Excel).
- Ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks that require climbing and fieldwork in elevated pipe racks.
- Candidates must be within a daily commute of Vicksburg, MS or be willing to relocate for the duration of the turnaround to be considered.
