POSITION: Pool Deck Attendant

Ladera Oaks is a private, member-owned club situated on four creek-side acres in the beautiful Portola Valley foothills. We offer high quality recreation and competitive swim, tennis and fitness programs in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. It’s a place where children, adults and families can grow, make friends, and enjoy healthy activities all year-round.

We are looking for energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Pool Deck Associates to join the Ladera Oaks team. This is a great position for candidates looking to make a significant impact in a family-friendly, dynamic organization. This is a part time seasonal job offered in the summer only.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

• Greet members and guests in a professional manner
• Ensure all members and guests are checked in before entering the pool deck area
• Charge guest fees
• Respond to members questions & concerns
• Assist with pool towels and pool deck cleanliness
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area
• Provide the highest level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests
• Assist patrons by being knowledgeable in swim programs, fitness classes, summer camps & club policies and procedures
• Assist with private pool parties and club-wide events
• Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Reliable, professional, energetic, and friendly
• Ability to communicate effectively with patrons, supervisors, and other employees.
• Preferably interested in health, fitness, and/or sports
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to remain alert, attentive, and responsive to members’ needs.
• CPR/AED Certification Preferred

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position which may include standing for long periods of time, sitting, constantly walking, squatting, stooping, reaching, and bending above and below shoulder height
• Must be able to perform pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs at a time Additional Information
• Must be able to work outdoors between 4 – 8 hours per day.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

• Portola Valley, CA 94028: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
